Start up screen

Does anyone know how to make a custom start screen for a map?

Hi Red Dog,

one way is to make a Screenshot inside the map and convert it to PCX. This PCX Picture need to have the same name like the map…so if you make a Start Screen for your map “Red Dog’s Backyard” the PCX must be titled “Red Dog’s Backyard”.

It did work but it took a very long time for the game to load. Is there a certain size the picture needs to be?

The Original Start Screens (and most templates for them) are 800×600….but my selfmade Start Screens are in 1027×768, 1280×1024 or 1280×720…even a few 1920×1080 without problems. Maybe the game loads faster if you take 800×600 instead of a larger size/resolution.
