How to change Map Name to AW2 Stock Maps Style?

Hi,

all the AW2 Stock Maps are renamed like “AW2 – xxxx” or “ESC – xxxx” – how can i do that for non Stock Maps? I would like to be able to have my Favorite (non Stock) Missions in Line with the Stock Maps. Is there a Tool for renaming Maps? Changing only the File name doesn’t help…it seems i need to change Title within the File.

Yes you are correct. You need to change the title in the file as the game uses that to display in the map list 🙂

thank you for your answer 🙂 How did you do that for AW2? I know, if there’s a .MIS File, you can change it with the Editor…..but how to change it for NPZ/NPJ Files or BMS without a MIS-File?

Hi Ennio,

Your are welcome. You can use a HEX editor to open the file and change the name.
