Taken from the classic Task Force Dagger Campaign, this is mission #19. Original layout was preserved and the initial concept was improved upon as much as possible.


Mission

  1. Destroy (7) SCUD launchers both in the open and parked inside structures.
  2. Clear the facility of Taliban/al-Qaida fighters
  3. Make your way to exfill / last waypoint and protect the landing zone (the clearing west of compound) until the helo arrives.

Important:
Eliminating resistance is not a subgoal, but the more you leave wandering, the more will come to bother you AND the helo afterwards.

Side notes:
– Boarding the helicopter at the end of the mission is not a requirement to end the map, but will make the helicopter fly off. Either attach to it or stand on the platform at the end of the mission to make it move after some time
– Watch out for snipers, foot/vehicle patrols, and counter-attacks !
– Spawn point are hidden in objects or buildings. Just stand near them to take the spawnpoint

      I played it yesterday and had no problems completing it. The map ended when I entered the chopper.

    Could you describe more fully what you have done thusfar, what you do and where you are when this happens?

    I looked into the Blue Win conditions that I had set for the map to end, and it says: -If player is in area around last wp -If chopper is in area around last wp -If group scuds are destroyed -If group enemy in compound is neutralized Blue win The problem with players, especially on public servers though, is they are all over the place and have no patience. Same thing with Operation Bear that ended perfectly fine after having tested it many times: after your objectives have been met, stay at exfill and WAIT for a bit. After the helo lands, stay close to it and WAIT for the map to end, which is usually after 10-20 seconds or so to give everybody a chance to gather. It’s really frustrating to hear these types of complaints all the time while I spend hours and days and weeks and months to create something fun and challenging, getting everything to work properly. Yes, there was the one time the helo would not leave in Op.Bear, but that was because I was asked to simplify my original concepts again and again for this very same reason: do not complicate maps too much; people will complain or lose interest. After I corrected it, I tested it several times and the map ended every time. If people would just sit down for a moment and READ the briefing, carefully, and go through these points one at the time, you will see the map end just fine like Captain said. Howcome the map ends for Captain? Because he TAKES HIS TIME. For your consideration, people.

    Also ,if you are referring to the helo not taking off from its very first position, that should have to do with either one of the SCUDS not having been destroyed, or a badguy within the compound that is still alive. No sooner will the helo come to exfil. After that, the map ends when helo and blue team are gathered at the last wp
