Red Dog replied to the topic Player vs. ssn10000 triggers in the forum MAPPING QUESTIONS 8 months, 4 weeks ago
You can assign each player that joins the game a SSN allowing a trigger to be activated over and over again. This is a great way to teleport a player one at a time when the player steps in a area/trigger. It takes a few things to make this happen. For every slot that is setup in the server you have to make that many events (if the server has 16…[Read more]

Hi George
No you have misunderstood the use of this wac command.
First rule when making a coop map: Never use player ssn “10000” because it only refers to the first player entering the game – usually the host.
Then the rest of the players would not be able to trigger it.When you use ssnride in your wac, you only have to refer to the object…[Read more]

Nova Cipher replied to the topic Bot names in the forum MAPPING QUESTIONS 9 months, 3 weeks ago
Hi,
There are two ways to name bots in the game, and both require editing the .bin file.
The first and most commonly used method is through the MED Editor. Just go to the AI Attributes section and enter a number in the empty box next to “Name.” This number can be anything you want. Now, if you have the Bin Editor, it’s even easier. Click Add u…[Read more]

Press the helo key, then Edit item attributes. There’s also the Al text file. Change that to ignore enemies.
If you can’t figure it out, I’ll make a demo map .

Correct, I will be testing the other updated maps this weekend because I was unable to host the maps on my Lan. Just let me know when the updated maps are approved and available for download. Thanks!

Red Dog replied to the topic Specific WAC commands in the forum MAPPING QUESTIONS 10 months, 2 weeks ago
What causes system dumps is a good question. Its possible a bad WAC script could cause a dump or maybe memory leaks or to much going on in the map. There is a program that can check the WAC script for errors. As for the bin, it will not display the messages correctly or if the wrong template is used, the goals will not display correctly but I do…[Read more]

Hi George – one of my teammates had no problem running Khwaja – no sysdumps. I am assuming it is something in my setup of the game.
Last weekend none of my teammates could access my “Lan” server. I am not sure if it’s a recent Window 11 update or something else causing it. Even when I tried hosting directly on Novaworld – they would get…[Read more]

Captain started the topic Tutorial: Display Repeating Goal Messages so players knows what to do in the forum MAPPING NICE-TO-KNOWS 10 months, 3 weeks ago
Why is this important?
Not all players in your map are starting from the beginning of your map.
Especially on dedicated servers, new players may join 60% into your map, so even if you as a mapper, have provided a briefing file (.BIN file) along with you map, so you can see the overall briefing – they don’t have a way of knowing how far down the…[Read more] -

Just George, thank you for taking your time to make these maps and updates. I wonder if the “-remove host triggered events so maps can be played on dedicated servers” was the problem with the map that I kept getting the sysdump. Still waiting to see if another player gets the sysdump as well.
We truly appreciate having new maps and I know it’s…[Read more]

We will have to retry the map, BHD-Diplomatic Immunity, we did get to the end and the convoy arrived so we’ll need to retry and make sure all the bgs are taken out and see if it ends. Regarding the recent maps, night vision concept is good but us “seniors” have a tough time with the darkness and using the nvgs. It is frustrating to get almost t…[Read more]
