Based on the real life Task Force Ranger 1993 Campaign mission (Operation Gothic Serpent) in Somalia, but never mentioned or used for Delta Force:Black Hawk Down

The CIA has gathered intel about an upcoming Habr Gedir clan meeting in an Old Russian Compound, near the Parade Viewing Stand. Habr Gedir clan leader Mohammed Farrah Aidid himself is said to be in attendance.

Delta Teams are to insert by MH-6 Little Birds and search the compound for Habr Gedir leaders as well as intel documents. An MH-60 Black Hawk will provide cover fire during the mission and extract the teams with prisoners.

Be advised: The Parade Viewing Stand next to the compound is a known location from which Habr Gedir clan and SNA militia frequently engage US and UN Troops operating in the area.


Mission

  1. Insert by MH-6 Little Birds and secure a large compound (where the helos land)

  2. Find any intel documents

  3. Capture enemy clan leaders (triggers by eliminating resistance)

  4. Elminate enemy resistance at the nearby Parade Viewing Stand if needed

  5. Exfil your team and prisoners by MH-60 Black Hawk (Reach exfil with team and prisoners)



Notes:

  • Lose conditions removed, helos and civilians indestructible
  • Watch out for snipers, machinegunners, RPGs and ambushes !
  • Spawn point are mostly hidden. Just stand near them to take the spawnpoint

Historical Fact:

Remnants of this compound actually exist (2°02’48.9″N 45°18’37.0″E on Google Maps) and the helo route/city scape towards it (although begrudgingly simplified due to memory limits) has been carefully duplicated within the AW2 MED to resemble actual Mogadishu, from airfield to target area.
