AW2 – TFR Raid 1

Based on the real life Task Force Ranger 1993 Campaign mission (Operation Gothic Serpent) in Somalia, but never mentioned or used for Delta Force:Black Hawk Down..

Important:

• Stand (and stay) on top of the helo that lands in order to trigger the departure; it waits for the second helo to be at a distance in order to take off safely
  
  
• During the ‘fastrope insertion’ (simulation) ropes appear on both sides of both helicopters. When you jump down from the helicopter (near the ropes and during their hovering), you are temporarily invulnerable until the helos start circling. Jump down quick and grab the spawn ASAP
  
  
• Your Black Hawks can provide decent cover fire with their Gattling guns, but they’re vulnerable when they hover for fastroping. Protect your transport during infil or lose the mission. After that when the helos start circling, they are set to indestructible to give players a chance to man the miniguns and cover their teammates on the ground
  
  
• Anyone who assaults Blue Team on the ground is primary target. Secure your exfil area around the target buildings
  

Mission

1. ‘Fastrope in’ from two Black Hawks and secure two target buildings
   
   
2. Destroy any ammunition and equipment you find inside either target building
   
   
3. Capture or kill an enemy lieutenant
   
   
4. Find intel documents inside either target building

Notes:

• Watch out for snipers, machinegunners, RPGs and ambushes !
  
• Spawn point are hidden in objects or buildings. Just stand near them to take the spawnpoint
  
  
  

Historical fact:
This location actually exists (2°02’00.2″N 45°18’30.2″E on Google Maps) and the helo route/city scape towards it (although begrudgingly simplified due to memory limits) has been carefully duplicated within the AW2 MED to resemble actual Mogadishu, from airfield to target area
